Member Purge Rules

3-MP-1.  Pegasus Command though the Office of the President conducts membership purges on a regular basis.  We do this to show the value of membership and to show appreciation for our history and democracy.  No one wants to purge a member, but if basic requirements are not met, we as a guild long ago determined empty numbers are not worth the reduction in the value of a membership.  Our guild is nothing without its members.

 

3-MP-2.  Purges will occur on a scheduled monthly basis as announce by the Office of the President.

 

3-MP-3.  Any member or citizen may be purged, regardless of time in the guild or position held. However, Head of State toons may never be removed without their consent.

 

3-MP-4.  Any member or citizen purged has a right to ask for re-invite to the guild.

 

3-MP-5.   Only the Office of the President or their agent may purge a member from any guild/fleet in our guild.

 

3-MP-6.  A properly purged member or citizen loses all time in the guild if their purge results in removal from Pegasus Command, but not awards. If they are re-invited back to the guild they start as a new member. If the member feels they are purged improperly they may petition the Pegasus Command Court for review, who may reinstate their lost time or former Peg Com Citizenship.

 

3-MP-7. Purge lists are to be created by each official game by its Game Commander and must be submitted to the Office of the President the 1st day of each month. Purges must occur by the 5th day of each month.

 

3-MP-8. To be purged a member must meet any of the following criteria:

a.  Failure to take part in a least one official guild game function in each 30-day period. Guild game function is to be defined as part of each official guilds game plan. Office of the President events may be used by Game Commanders as a guild game function but may not be used as the sole activity for compliance with this rule in consecutive periods.

b.  Be listed on the Game Commander’s purge list provided the Office of the President. The Office of the President shall remove any member listed on such purge list, if provided on time, the member meets the criteria for purge, and does not issue a veto.

c.  In the event the Office of the President does not receive a purge list in two consecutive periods for any Official Guild Game, they may use this rule to conduct their own member purge. The list for this purge shall be made with the assistance of the Office of the Supreme Commander. This purge shall follow the same purge criteria as listed in this rule.

 

3-MP-9. To be purged as a Pegasus Command Citizen, the citizen must meet any of the following criteria:

a.  Failure to take part in a least one official guild game function in each 60-day period. Guild game function is to be defined as part of each official guilds game plan. Office of the President events may be used by Game Commanders as a guild game function but may not be used as the sole activity for compliance with this rule in consecutive periods. 

b.  Be listed on the Game Commander’s purge list provided the Office of the President. The Office of the President shall remove any member listed on such purge list, if provided on time, the member meets the criteria for purge, and does not issue a veto

c.  In the event the Office of the President does not receive a purge list in two consecutive periods for any Official Guild Game, they may use this rule to conduct their own citizen purge.  The list for this purge shall be made with the assistance of the Office of the Supreme Commander. This purge shall follow the same purge criteria as listed in this rule.

 

3-MP-10.    A purge must be guild wide and may not target a specific official guild game.  The Office of the President will also notify the Office of the Supreme Commander when a purge list is not received on time.

 

3-MP-11Alternate toons in the same guild of members may be removed from guild rosters after 6 months of inactivity and 12 months for Peg Com Citizens. Peg Com Citizens that are fully inactive in an official guild game, while the citizen themselves are not purgeable, may be removed with agreement of the active Peg Com Citizen or after 12 months of inactively, this shall be 6 months for members.

 

3-MP-12. Should a member or citizen be purged from all official guild games, they will be removed from Pegasus Command this removal does not bar in itself return to the guild.

 

3-MP-13. The Office of the President may remove a member from Pegasus Command or a guild under the following conditions:

a.  A member may be removed from any official game guild outside a purge, at the request of the Supreme Commander or Game Commander for that official guild game. This may be done at request so long as it does not result in removal from Pegasus Command.  The removed member will be given notice of the removal and the reason for such. The removed member may petition the Office of the Supreme Commander for reentry to the guild. 

b.  A member may be removed from Pegasus Command when their behavior or actions demonstrate such disregard for Pegasus Command rules and/or community that it is deemed not capable of being addressed with a suspension. No prior warning is required. Removal may not take place without a complaint, and all complaints must be investigated prior to action.

c.  Complaints- Any member or citizen of Pegasus Command may file a complaint requesting removal of a member. If the items complained of occurred inside the Office of the President’s jurisdiction they must conduct the investigation, if inside the Office of the Supreme Commander’s jurisdiction they must conduct the investigation and return their findings to the President.

d.  In order to remove the member, the investigation of the officer must find that: The complaint covers conduct which results in section (b) above being met, and that the actions or behaviors more than likely occurred based on the evidence gathered in the investigation.

e.  There is no appeal from this finding, however, the removed member may request reentry to Pegasus Command via the Office of the Supreme Commander.
