Addendum:
GC Requirements
-
Played the game long enough, they know the game maps and mechanics well enough to do small group actions. They should have a max or near max level unit if the game so provides. In a game like League of Legends, they need to have all champions unlocked, and familiar with each of them.
What a Game Commander (GC) Does:
A GC is the in the field person for our group. They need to know their game and be interested in helping to build a gaming community around it. This does not mean best player, it means most dedicated. GC's need to love their game and want to understand it. They need to have a concern for the members under their command and be willing to deal with issues as they arise. They need a working understanding of Peg Com Rules and Traditions, and feel comfortable leaning on the president, supreme commander, chief of staff, quorum members and judges for additional guidance.
A GC should be playing their game multiple hours a week. Be able to constantly lead game operations, and make sure if they can't, they get it covered. This is an engaged role and not one you can phone in. All membership rules apply, including: Use of discord, the site, and voice chat. A GC will be held to the highest of standards. GCs will meet bi-weekly with the chief of staff. They will be required to keep a roster of members and attendance in ops. Being a GC does not cost you any money, the guild pays for most giveaways. While some GCs do add items from their own funds this is not expected or required. A GC is required to recruit additional members for their guild.
Also the President, Supreme Commander, and Chief of Staff work with GCs to help them become better at their functions and provide support to help them do their roles. So even if you have never run a game group before do not let that dissuade you. We will, and can, work with you to get you there. GCs like members never work alone and help is always available. GCs are expected to ask for it.
You should expect the GC position to take a minimum of 4 hours each week in non in game time to be effective.
A successful GC will achieve the following:
-
Meet with the Chief of Staff bi-weekly
-
Submit a weekly roster to the Chief of Staff
-
Submit attendance of ops to the Chief of Staff
-
Submit a purge list 3 days before the first of each month to the president
-
Have all ops for the next month on the calendar
-
Increase their game’s citizen count by an average of 1 per month minimum.
-
Increase their game’s roster by an average of 2 per month minimum
-
1 per month until full roster for World of Warships
-
Have a monthly op participation of 25%
-
