So you got that token, now what
STO is back with the giveaway token, so I am compiling a list of useful to get stuff, I will try to explain it in the simple words and list reasonings behind the pick , these picks will be based on the usefulness of the ship to you in game either in the way of traits/equipment or in the way of the platform itself. These ships will be listed in no particular order, if there is interest I write more options:
1. Arbiter/Kurak/Morrigu - You know why it is here, Emergency Weapon Cycle (EWC), although most people tend to forget that the ship it comes on is actually quite good; 5/3 loadout, access to Intel seating for OSS and plenty of tactical consoles makes it an amazing platform for anyone starting out their STO journey and I would argue the best starter ship for your first Zen purchase, it is versatile in builds you can do and things it brings to the table and if you really like it upgrade to the fleet version is possible
2. Gagarin/Qugh - Keeping in the theme of strong traits you can pick up with an actual good ship, what do you know, another battlecruiser, a miracle worker one at that, this one offers a sneak peek into the high performance game of Miracle Worker abilities where things like NSB and MAS are at the forefront and I have not even mentioned what the trait does; Trait that links your TS to your CSV/FAW.
3. Lexington - I am rattling off too many good battlecruisers with good traits, here is a proper cruiser that relies on itself to be good, first off, Spinal Lance, everyone loves a big blast of Phaser in the face of their enemy, it has a hangar slot that you can fill with your favourite flavour of fighters (mine are peregrines), with an intel slot and a miracle worker slot it is flexible and can be built in many ways to suit your playstyle while maintaining that survivability everyone loves cause you can't deal damage if you are dead.
4. Endevour/Martok/Khopesh - so you want to fly the hero ship of your faction without shelling out for an actual legendary ship, let us at least put you in one that has a good trait to go along with it, SCW combines that classic feel of torpedoes alongside your energy weapon ship, it also comes with a decent console in Flagship Tactical Computer, one that buffs all your friends, how nice. The ships themselves work as advertised, they are big, they are imposing and they kick ass and look good while doing it.
5. Somerville/Batlh - This list is missing some science, let's fix that, the science ship with the finest trait for science builds, your idol build, the famous spam all the anomalies, while the ships themselves are small and quick, they are nothing to write home about but they get the job done in a pinch and will pull through for you if you need them to.
6. Eternal - Now let us talk about a science ship that is a classic, that stands the test of time and even today puts an impressive show despite being released all the way back with the Agents of Yesterday. Eternal is the bread and butter of sci builds, it is simple and elegant, it has a temporal operative slot so you can put all those cool anomalies that come with the specialization, it's console is pretty decent making more anomalies, it has a hangar slot, it's trait is nothing to scoff at albeit a bit powercrept these days, a ship from the future it may be but it is a timeless classic.
7. Narendra/Vor'ral - I guess I need some tanks in here too, the go to tank trait for more threat gen and also conveniently increasing your other important stats all bundled in on a cruiser package. Let us break it open, Temporal secialization is probably the weakest side of these ships as this does not allow it to be as support based as their title would make them seem, command is much better at it, tho with the bridge officer side of the things being a wide net they are able to deal out good punishment while being able to take it
8. Do you need more ideas, I can go on?
