Greetings and Salutations!
Gaming background -
Been playing Guild Wars since 2007, and Guild Wars 2 since 2012. My kids pulled me into GW1 by gifting me my estranged spouse's 2005 account. In my US account all of my original character names were carried over from GW1 to GW2. One of those characters I've been playing as a direct continuation from 1 to 2, with plausible storyline link. My GW2 EU account has completely new unrelated characters. However, I've been playing Sims in some form or another since 1997, beginning with SimCity, followed by SimCity2000, SimSafari, SC3000, SC4, The Sims (have the complete set of disks), The Sims Medieval, and Sims2. Oh, and recently acquired Sims 4, though not liking the fact I need to log into Origin to play, which means there Must be an internet connection to play, and that sucks donkey ears. Some of my gaming time is spent on GW2 while the majority of time sees me building/playing in Sims2. You can find me in the sims community as Herr Burgermeister. That's it for electronic gaming.
Aside from growing up with chess, backgammon, Parcheesi, Trouble, Scrabble, and Monopoly, inventive games found me in 1979 with the original boxed set of Dungeons and Dragons; had to travel 30 miles one-way just to find a group that played D&D back then. Ditto just to participate in a Society For Creative Anachronism event, as well. I grew up in the middle of nowhere, corn fields and dairy farms for miles; not now though, those fields and farms were replaced by housing developments and shopping malls.
Anyway, yes, an early D&D player/DM. It's difficult these days finding players who understand the concept that the rules are just guidelines and not written in stone, that creative group problem solving goes farther than hack&slash. It was during this time a friend who worked for Burroughs introduced me to my first electronic game - Zork. At that time it took a huge mainframe computer which filled an entire room to run that game. Now, I have a copy of it on a 60kb flash, and there's still space for more info. LOL. Oh, the times they do change.
Anywho, that's it for my gaming experience. For real life info, get to know me, then I might tell you as we converse like real folk do.
