Hi all, as you know by now BSGO is going to be shut down sometime in the next 30 or so days. When we know a date we will post it. This is a sad day for us and the end of a long history of great times on Battlestar. That said, we continue.
We moved to mutigame knowing this day would come, so we would all have a way to stay connected. The planning has more than paid off, and we now sport a large and growing gaming community. I am happy we did it, and grateful for all the newer members we have as a result. All our guilds are built on the very same ethos the BSGO Wing has had and stood for. We are nothing without our members and anyone can be anything in this guild.
In the near future we will be running special events for BSGO both servers to see the old girl off in style. In the mean time I want to encourage all BSGO only members to look at the games we have now in the guild. You may see a fit and rub some elbows with some of our newer members or even older ones that moved to other games a while back. I ask you to try it, trust me we have some great games, and even better people. So look around and ask around, you can't go wrong. If you do not want to play any other game we have, we will also be looking for a game to fill the BSGO slot. All suggestions are welcome. This will be taken up in the first meeting for the new PCSC after elections.
Just remember we are always here for one another for the long haul. So this is not an end, it is just another new beginning.

So say we all.
I was hard core STO when it first came out. Grew frustrated with the repetitiveness the initial release had and found BSGO. I was VERY active in BSGO for many years and is how I met and became friends with people I'll never meet. Even as the content grew stale the members found in the wing remained and is what made it a worth while effort. Hell, I even became a decent strike pilot so I could run with Silver Hawks, lol.
Eventually I went back to primarily STO and found they had made MANY revisions and fixed the issues I had initially. The changes were so drastic I had to relearn the game basically and had fun doing it.
So, take a look. Give the other games a try. You just may surprise yourself and find another game you like. And if you find a game you really like we are not playing, mention it to someone.
If anyway possible I'll dust off the ole Halberd, Glaive, Gungnir, or Carrier for one last run.
I was brought to pegcom a few months ago by Aer who found me a sa newb in STO. I played BSGO for a couple weeks back when it was early open beta (near as i can place it by the content) and left for other things. Since then I have tried dreadnaught and rejoined SWTOR (ran that from 1.2 until 4 something so like 4 years). Having played with those games and a rough idea I figure to toss out my opinion and maybe it will help a few of you out.
Dreadnaught - often quirky(buggy) but fun short fight arena ship to ship battles with multiple ship types and configurations. (alienware might still have some free keys for a small starter pack). I started with the freebie from alienware and had most my tier 3 ships (where we do lots of the group ops) within a couple weeks. I still have a lot to learn but we have a great GC and the ops are fun and fast paced.
Star Trek Online- a real mixed MMO. you get lots of ship types, and with the battlegrounds and task force operations a lot of space combat options, but to level you do have to do the ground missions, and once you get a couple months of play in, your in high end ships that fall often fall into 2-3 catagories. DPS, sustained DPS(survivability) or tanky. It is fun and we have moderately active groups on both factions. If your willing to do the grinding for Dilithium you can slowly trade that to the store currency (zen) and buy account upgrades, and since I started in Oct. there hasn't been 3 weeks without some kinda free box, earnable ship, or 20% off something going on in the store to make things just an expensive store not an outright gouge.
star Wars The Old Republic- MMO this is a good solid game, with great stories for the first 50ish levels of the classes. after that the stories lose much of the class difference but can still be fun. Spoace combat is pretty limited. solo play stuff or the snubfighter pvp galactic starfighter (small arena, 4 ship types). Unfortunately unless you subscribe this game has lots of quirky limits that make play less satisfactory. you can spend a small amount and buy some account upgrades and make it much nicer but then its costing money. The GC seems almost glued into the game so you can get help 14-16 hours a day for questions and often help on gear or sticky content.
Even if none of these games is exactly right, I would encourage you to join one or more and participate in the ops where you can to keep in contact until something better can be found. I look forward to having some more people around all the great games we have.
I had originally joined PegCom just for BSGO, was sick of running around alone but still enjoyed the game. Shortly after I found out that you guys supported STO which I had played with some gusto a few years back and was able to jump in to the guild on that game as well. Next Moonite started up the STWOR guild which is another game that I had played in the past so I dusted off the old account and joined up in that game as well. Curently I have an account and/or toon in every game that we have a guild in, not to mention the one's we just mess around in. You could say I came for BSGO but I stayed for the guild. I enjoy playing any of the games the guild supports with you guys. I hope that the BSGO guys can find another reason to stick around, I would still like to do some more gaming with ya lol.
The nice thing about having moved PCW into a full-on Guild is that the community lives on in an organized fashion. In retrospect, the reality is that the majority of those who are no longer active in the guild because of BSGO dying, have already left. For myself, I'm not active in any other game, but I'll still hit the website every day and check discord often, mostly due to muscle memory gained from the last X years PCW has had a website.
rest in peace game, you will not be forgotten
