Major Guild Anouncement (Please Read)
This post (I have PMed this to all members also) is to let you know of a major change for our guild structure, the PCSC voted to impliment this change after a 30 day comment peroid. What this mean is, if you have questions, objections, sugguestions on the below, you have a chance to do so before the changes takes effect. This change will impact all members.
Change:
1. The PCSC will have a set seat number, this will be one seat per offical game, plus one. Seats will all be elected at large of all guild citizens.
2. Peg Com will have members and citizens. Members may use any public work of the guild, such as the site and discord. Also they will be subject to all member rules and regulations. However, they will have no guild removal protections, nor will that have any judical remedy for being removed from the guild. They can be removed at anytime for any reason. Members may not vote in guild elections, nor hold any office elected or appointed, outside of ADHOC needs of the SC or Game Commanders.
3. Any member can become a Peg Com Citizen, after three months with the guild, request and recomendation of the Presdient, SC, or any Game Commander. A member requesting recomendation for citizenship must be responded to within 3 days by the officer of which such request is made. A denial of the recomendation must be in writing and state reasons for such, any denial is appealable to the PCSC by the requestor via the Peg Com Judical System. Once such request and recomendation is made the PCSC at anytime, but not more than 5 days from request and recomendation, by majority vote will grant the member citizenship. Once granted all proetections from being removed, judical recourse for any removal, and the right to vote and hold any office are granted. Citzenship can not be removed without process, as allowed by rule. A member may request citzenship as many times as they wish until granted.
4. An intial group of current members will be made citizens at the passing of the new rule, they will be posted on the site. As will the name of any Peg Com Citizen when citizenship is granted. The list of Peg Com Citizens will be maintianed by the office of the preseident and published on the site for record and review.
If you have questions ect, please post on this thread or contact any Peg Com officer.
In section 2 I see "any member can be removed for any reason" that way too veg

We would have two tiers under this plan, if we go with it. One is Citizen and other Member.
A citizen would be as it is now, you could not be kick for just any reason and have full recourse of the rules and judicial system.
Someone that was only a member would not, and could be kick for any reason.
Are you asking that even members should have some form of tenure, as in some reason to be kicked?
I've never seen the removal of a wing/guild member that has gone without sufficient evidence. Everyone's been treated as fairness and respect, from what I've either been a part of or witnessed. It's never been done without due process.
I've always seen the rules and regs as being for the protection of the group. They are there to make it difficult for one or several people to take over and make sweeping changes that may not be in the best interest of the guild.
When you see how many wings (speaking from a BSGO perspective, as I'm not as involved with the guild as I used to be years ago) and guilds imploded and exploded in the game, you'll be thankful for the structure to fall back on when issues arise.
Personally, I like the rule change. We are very open about accepting new members, but it seems to me like and a lot of new members don't "commit" to PegCom. By that I mean either they never finish registering on the site, or they don't really show up for guild activities, OPs, etc. For those folks, maybe all they want is "member" status (for example the XP bump in SWTOR), and that's fine. But to get the "full protections" that current members (which will become citizens after this rule goes into place) have, they will need to "commit" somewhat, make themselves known to their game commanders, and simply ask for citizenship. To me, this doesn't seem like too much to ask.
I totally agree, Midnight hits the nail right on the head. This is long overdue. It will make things easier for commander's, the pres and even council members to do their jobs more effectively and give members who contribute but are not in leadership positions a way to stand out.
Note- there is to be PCSC vote this month on this issue, see this thread of update on time
As of now TDB date, but looks like 25 MAY will be it
As with any PCSC meeting it is open to any member of Peg Com to attend and all are invited. Meeting with be on TS, but discord accommodations can be made also
